Written in collaboration with the late Irish powerhouse composer, Mícheál Ó Súilleabháin, this suite follows the contour of Bach's first suite for unaccompanied cello. While Bach's famous suite borrows dance forms from the Baroque tradition, this piece nods to Irish traditional dance and tune types.
